Loška dolina, permeated with Karst phenomena, is hidden in the embrace of forests, over which Mount Snežnik reigns supreme. A special feature of the area is the ethnological tradition of storing and drying hay on ‘ostrnice’ (traditional hay-drying racks), as well as traditional dormouse hunting. This area is home to numerous wild animals, including the bear, lynx, and wolf, while in the heart of the forests, we find a true cultural gem – Snežnik Castle.
