In 2007, the Municipality of Loška dolina established the Snežnik Castle Public Institute for Culture and Tourism. The Institute carried out activities in the fields of culture and tourism, and organised numerous cultural, educational, and social events. By the Decree on amendments and additions to the decree establishing the public institute in the field of culture and tourism in the Municipality of Loška dolina, adopted by the municipal council on 02.04. 4. 2015, the institute was renamed the Snežnik Public Institute for Culture, Tourism and Intergenerational Cooperation, and also took over activities in the field of intergenerational cooperation.
