The Janja and Bernard Mlakar Bajer homestead looks like a fairy tale. The young and ambitious family is set on a path of self-sufficiency on the old farm that's been a part of the Bajer (Bajer pond) life for three hundred years already. Magnificient surroundings, with the pond (after which the farm got its name), mill, sawmill and a lively stream that pushes them, also contribute to the picturesque imagery.
The Bajer hosts will take joy in giving you a tour of our ecological farm. We will demonstrate the free life of animals grazing on the pastures surrounding the pond and set the ancient venetian sawmill that fed many generations of our ancestors in motion. We will bake you home bread from the flour ground in our own mill and will show you the richess of life in the idyllic countryside.
