Bearcountry

A 15-year-old wooden house built in the traditional architectural style characteristic of Babno Polje. It stands on the edge of the village, 100 metres from a dense forest full of wildlife, which is part of the Snežnik forest complex. An excellent starting point for nature hikes, bear and other wildlife watching, visiting Snežnik, Križna jama, and Lake Cerknica, as well as the Risnjak National Park in Croatia. In addition to providing accommodation, the owner makes wooden vessels and prepares liqueurs from locally gathered forest fruits.
