Bicycle rental

Cycling through the diverse Notranjska landscape of Loška dolina offers enjoyment for both recreational and experienced cyclists. The flat paths across Loško polje are also suitable for family recreation, while more demanding cyclists can head towards the higher-lying villages and across natural passes to Lake Cerknica, Bloke, Loški Potok, or further towards the Kočevje region, the Kolpa Valley, and Gorski Kotar. The forested and hilly areas of Loška dolina are a true challenge for touring and mountain bikers, as they require good orientation skills; the Slovenian Mountain Bike Route (STKP) also leads through the area, connecting Mašun with Snežnik Castle and ascending through Loška dolina towards the Municipality of Loški Potok.

At TIC Loška dolina, four SCOTT Aspect eRide 930 e-bikes are available for rent in sizes from S to L, along with four cycling helmets.

To rent a bike, you must submit a completed rental application at the TIC or to the e-mail address tic.loz@zavod-sneznik.si. Rental is carried out in accordance with the price list, the standard operating procedure for bike rental, and the general terms and conditions for e-bike rental.

In Stari trg pri Ložu, a service and charging station for e-bikes is available at the MGC Gaber location, Cesta Notranjskega odreda 45 b. It is also possible to borrow a charger, which must be arranged in advance by calling +386 (0)41 634 224.

Electric bikes can also be rented at the Ars Viva Institute and at the Rihtar Homestead.
